Yesterday, Matt had off of work, and we had our first weekend day in Milwaukee together. We went thrifting in the morning (more on that later!), had lunch and pooltime at my parents’ country club — surprisingly wonderful, I don’t want to belong to one, but it’s sure nice when you’re parents do — and went plant shopping. Yes, plant shopping. As much as I’m hating summer right now, I know the cold will roll in soon enough and I’ll be missing the tropical reality of my last two winters. In our usual fashion, we bought way too much, and we’re now swimming in greenery. Like, I-don’t-know-what-to-do-with-all-these-living-things-that-I-will-most-likely-kill-by-next-week swimming.
