Feeling Crafty

The designers behind one of my new favorite clothing lines, Shabd, are teaching a tie dying workshop in Brooklyn this weekend. Man oh man, am I jealous! I’d be lying if I say that the hippie in me isn’t incredibly drawn to tie dye as it is — think worn out Grateful Dead t-shirt — but the artistry and pattern and composition of their textile — not to mention the organic  and ethereal yet sophisticated drape of the fabric — is just so beautiful. Gosh I wish I could be there! (via ~>O<~)

This got me thinking about all the other crafts that I’m dying to learn. Key West is a bit of an artists haven and there are a lot of art classes, but unfortunately none that I’ve been drawn enough to yet to actually take. Maybe I’m being idealistic, but I can’t wait to be a city to have access to any class I could ever want to take.

On my wish list:
